FINAL PROGRAM:

Final program/2nd Circular is or will be available on the BPS Ô11 web pages.

 

REGISTRATION:

You can still register any time by clicking ÒRegistrationÓ in the left-hand menu. There will be a raised Conference Fee due to late registration and payment after August, 1st.

 

LOCATION:

The location for the BPS Ô11 is the University of Bayreuth, Bayreuth, Blgd. NW II, lecture hall H18 and H19. In front of the lecture hall you'll find the Symposium Office, exhibits of supporting companies, coffee & tea, and computers for you to conveniently access the internet. WLAN will not be provided due to network safety policies of the University. You'll find a map and more directions on the BPS Ô11 webpages.

 

CONFERENCE FEE:

The conference fee includes the Symposium Abstract Book, coffee/tea during breaks, lunch on both symposium days, the admission to a welcome reception on Sunday evening, and the Conference Dinner on Tuesday evening. There will be a concert on Monday night. The admission fee for the concert is included for regular participants only. Tickets for students and accompanying persons can be purchased for Û 15 at the Registration Office, if available. All prices in Û, incl. VAT. If your payment was not received before August 1st, higher fees will apply:

Payment by credit card (MC or Visa) is also possible after you have registered, please fax your CC data (number, name on card, exp.-date, security code) to the conference office at +49 921 3393.

 

Upon cancellation after you have transferred your dues, a service charge of Û 50 will be deducted from the refund.

 

CONTRIBUTIONS:

The Contribution Deadline was June 30th, 2011, no more contributions are accepted, but you can still register to attend the conference.

 

POSTER GUIDELINES:

The poster format is DIN A0 portrait (max. 124.5x90 cm HxW, A0 oversize). IMPORTANT: The maximum width for landscape format posters is 90 cm. Please supply your own mounting supply in order to attach the posters onto the board.

Posters for the Poster Sessions will be introduced by an oral introduction during the Poster Introduction on Monday or Tuesday. Please prepare ONE chart for overhead projection for your oral short presentation of max. 1.5 min, absolutely no PowerPoint or other beamer presentations are possible for this short oral poster presentation. Poster in Sesssion III will not be introduced, but on display for the entire time.

 

BEAMER (VIDEO) PRESENTATIONS:

Only for full lectures, not for poster introduction: A video presentation system (beamer) will be provided for presentations directly from a laptop. Preferably you will bring your own laptop; otherwise we will need your media (USB stick). During the breaks, the laptops for the following session will be installed and tested. Thus, bring your system to the front during the break preceding your presentation.

 

LUNCH:

It is possible to have lunch in the Mensa on the campus. Lunch is included in your registration fee. You can use each open line and have a free choice of meals. A vegetarian meal is also available. In addition to the daily selection you'll find a salad bar (per weight) on the left side of line one. Please hand the color-coded coupons for the meals to the person at the cash register.

Payment in cash is not possible at the university restaurant!

 

SOCIAL EVENTS:

¥ On Sunday night at 18:30 we'll offer the "BPS" get-together, were complimentary beer, pretzels and sausages will be served. Of course, also other items will be available.

¥ On Monday night, after the last lecture, a concert will be offered for full paying attendees only or students with an additional ticket, since the limited seating is available only. A bus transfer will be available, dinner on your own will available at various restaurants of your choice downtown after the concert.

¥ The conference dinner which is concluding the conference, is scheduled for Tuesday night at 19:30 at a restaurant near by, location, driving instructions, or a bus shuttle will be available at the conference site.

 

CANCELLATION:

In case you wish to cancel your registration, please inform the Registration Office by e-mail (bps@uni-bayreuth.de) or phone (+49 921 55 3398) accordingly. If you qualify for a refund (i.e. you have already paid your conference fee), a service fee of 50 EUR will be deducted.
