| Universal Tester is a Tabel-Top Model 5565 with a 5kN Load Frame. This version has a maximal crosshead travel of 1635 mm and a horizontal test space of 950 mm. Samples can be mounted in pneumatic 5N fiber clamps, 100N pneumatic tension grips with rubber jaw faces or 5kN manual wedge action grips. A temperature controlled chamber (Mod. 3119-008) permitts experiments from RT up to 600 C and can be rolled on a frame into the test space. The tester is controlled by the INSTRON Merlin software, which features cycle (or fatigue) experiments as well as constant force or displacement modes. Files can be stored in ASCII and must be evaluated by other software such as Origin. |
