| Ultra Centrifugal Mill ZM 100 is a benchtop model and used for grinding of soft to semi-hard materials up to a grain size of 10 mm. A rotor made of plated stainless steel spins with 14,000 or 18,000 rpm. The rotor is inside an interchangeable sieve with a certain hole size. The material is chopped by the rotor and every particle smaller than these holes is eliminated from the grinding process. This principle garanties a narrow particle size distribution and prevents the formation of a very small grains (dust). Cooling is essential, suitable are liq. nitrogen or solid carbon dioxide.
